What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Clerk position at TMC Design Corporation?
The Procurement Clerk assists in purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. Qualifies vendors, evaluates bids and for purchased goods and services. Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and input vendor information, purchase requisitions, purchase orders into procurement system and ensures proper documentation per Policy and CPSR Guidelines.
- Serve as a coordinator working accounting purchasing card reconciliation
- Assist with vendor and product research
- Assist in monitoring vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and capability to meet required standards and schedule; track and maintain current vendor contracts
- Evaluate quotes by create corresponding price analysis documentation for support of procurement files to include price, delivery, payment, specifications, and purchase order terms
- Import and create documents into Excel, track vendor information and payments, compose correspondence, manage requisitions, and open commitments through
- Assist in sales tax exemption
- Collect tracking information to allow for reporting against department objectives and submit performance reports to management
- Review, enter, update and verify data into various systems to ensure accuracy for use by all personnel.
- Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team for resolution.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.

Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of data entry, finance or procurement experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education/Certification:
- College Education in process or Degree in finance, business administration or related field, or equivalent number of years of contract experience.
- Experience with CostPoint, Cognos, Unanet and Advanced Skill with MS Excel
Compensation:
- The starting salary for this position ranges from $15 to $27 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications
