Job Description:
TMC Technologies is in search of a Applications Developer to support a federal client in Rosslyn, VA. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance to start due to federal contract requirements. This role supports the Application Development and Web Services section within the TIE Office. The Applications Developer will:
The Applications Developer will be responsible for developing capabilities for internal and external Microsoft MS-based , SharePoint and Team sites as well as all Web-based solutions.
Support the full software development life cycle of SharePoint, Teams, and other low-code, no code, web-based solutions.
Provide UI/UX mock-ups and guidance for customer review and requirements discussions.
Ensure website reviews are conducted for adherence to organization specifications and standards.
Provide expert level experience in troubleshooting system-related problems and possess expert knowledge of web design principles and web publishing software and protocols.
Have an excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Design/Development and of end-to-end web application architecture, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.
Highly self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies.
Have excellent communication skills, be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines and have the ability to work both independently and on a team producing quality work products with attention to detail.
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, enhances, and documents web solutions programs (ColdFusion or PowerApps, low-code, or no code solutions).
Designs and develops systems to meet business needs.
Provides analyses and prepares level-of-effort estimates.
Assists in developing and validating system requirements.
Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain interim Secret security clearance before start date.
Interim Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Possess A CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network CE, SSCP, or equivalent industry certification.
Expert knowledge with designing and developing complex Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate) solutions for Teams and SharePoint sites consisting of multiple levels and accesses and integration of other applications (e.g., calendars, forms, workflows).
Knowledge and experience in web design, web architecture, web development, interface design, or software design.

Strong understanding of DevOps practices and Agile methodology.
Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external to Department of State), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of projects.
Strong commitment to quality through work products and documentation of activities/processes/procedures.
Ability to conceptualize, present and execute ideas in a timely manner.
