TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Tarper working in Bennettsville, South Carolina at a dedicated account, Arauco.
SHIFT: Sunday-Thursday, 11pm7am
Salary: 19/HR
IF candidate holds a CDL, we could hire as a shag driver and salary would be 20/HR.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function for a Tarper is to assist and secure tarps on pre-loaded trailers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tarp pre-loaded trailers per customer requirement
- Run tarp machine
- Apply pre-protective covering to secure loads
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred
- Strong work history and ethic
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical requirements and work environment described are representative of those present while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Must have the ability to drive a commercial vehicle within short distances (less than 2 miles) from terminal location
- Ability to lift 80lbs
- Ability to climb on and off of truck trailers and loads
