TMC, a LinQuest company is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required

The Associate Systems Engineer will assist a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. In this role, the Associate Systems Engineer will assist with duties contributing to general mission and/or space vehicle systems engineering activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering principles in the following areas: requirements definition and analysis, high level design, power, electronic circuits and interfaces, heating / cooling, communications, software principles, application of cyber security principles, lifecycle and sustainment
  • Confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties and conducts testing events
  • Participate in and lead engineering change proposals as a member of the Engineering Review Board to identify suitable solutions for required changes to the system due to obsolescence, improvements, or updates to documentation
  • Interface with the TMC corporate Configuration Management Lead to ensure TMC Configuration Management policies and best practices are implemented and adhered to for all relevant documentation
  • Assist in providing Program Management support by tracking all program requirements and technical specifications, ensuring design and manufacturing processes support verification and validation
  • Validate equipment lists to ensure they meet the intended capabilities
  • Prepare Technical Study reports
  • Assist with requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation of requirements
  • Assist with the generation of requirements traceability matrices
  • Assist with site surveys to collect System/Sub System detailed information
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist in the analysis of system logs, performance metrics, and diagnostic data to identify and resolve system technical problems
  • Assist in technical support to field operators and end-users during system deployment, operations, and maintenance phases
  • Assist with the development of technical risk assessments
  • Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings and schematics
  • Assist with the preparation of site survey reports, technical study reports
  • Assist with the preparation of engineering plans such as System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), System/Subsystem Design Document (SSDD)
  • Assist with the development the test plans and procedures
  • Ensure systems compliance to industry and applicable DoD requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 0-3 years of systems engineering experience
  • BS degree in engineering, physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, network and telecommunications; information systems, information technology, or computer information systems
  • Knowledge of the following: RF communication equipment, electrical or electronic circuit design, programming languages, research and development, rapid prototyping, and reverse engineering.
  • Knowledge of RF and engineering analysis tools (i.e. Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Modems, modeling tools, etc.)
  • Awareness of the discipline and practice of systems engineering throughout the system lifecycle phases of concept, development, production, use, support, and retirement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong writing and oral presentation skills
  • Possess problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills
  • Communicates in an effective manner
  • Shows initiative by learning new technologies
  • Exemplify core values
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $75,000 to $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
