Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Leave of Absence Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of Leave of Absence (LOA) and be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations across all of Toyota. Reporting to the Leave of Absence and Accommodations Manager, the person in this role will support the Leave of Absence and Accommodation Team’s objective to provide and manage leave solutions that allow Toyota to achieve business goals while balancing the needs of our team members. What you’ll be doing • Manage leave of absence (STD, LOA, FMLA, Workers’ Comp, etc.) cases in partnership with Toyota’s leave of absence third-party providers. • Exercise discretionary judgment and critical assessment skills to make LOA case outcome recommendations to the business, LOAA Analyst, LOAA Manager, HR Business Advisors, and/or inside and outside legal counsel. • Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of compliance policies, procedures, and regulations affecting day-to-day LOAA responsibilities. • Ensure administration of leave by vendors is done properly and timely in accordance with pre-determined service levels. What you bring • HR experience within a high volume, fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources. • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state disability legislation and programs including FMLA/CFRA, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation. • Demonstrated skills required in the areas of negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that allow the ability to interact effectively with all levels of team members. • Ability to multi-task. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. • Strong preference for automating processes over manual solutions. • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, OneNote, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Added bonus if you have • Microsoft Viso or other project mapping software. • Experience with time and attendance system.
