Job Overview
The Vendor Manager is a key player in handling and optimizing relationships with external vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services. This role involves managing vendor contacts and closely supervising vendor performance to ensure seamless operations and service excellence. The Vendor Manager collaborates with various internal departments to meet the organization's wireless network and infrastructure needs efficiently.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Vendor Performance Management: Monitor vendor performance pursuit to contract terms and conditions and contractual obligations. Take proactive measures to address and resolve performance issues.
    • Progress Tracking: Supervise program progress against milestones and KPIs, insuring stakeholders and management receive regular updates.
    • Relationship Building: Foster and cultivate positive relationships with key telecom vendors. Collaborate with vendors to address technical challenges, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in contractual obligations.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor relationships. Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain.
    • Procurement Strategy: Assist in the development of procurement strategy, aligning vendor management practices with broader business objectives.
    • Compliance: Ensure that vendor relationships align with all contractual obligations and internal policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
    • Partner Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with internal and external partners, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on program status.

    Qualifications

    MInimum Required

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
    • 5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a comparable role within the telecommunications industry.
    • Strong contract leadership skills and project management, specifically in telecom.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point.
    • Deep knowledge of wireless network technologies, infrastructure, and services.

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Professional certification in telecom procurement or vendor management.
    • Experience with specialized telecom vendor management software and tools.
    • Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and industry standards.
    • Proven success in optimizing vendor relationships to achieve cost savings and network performance improvements in the telecom sector.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly within the telecom context.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced telecommunications environment and optimally balance multiple vendor relationships simultaneously.
    • Solid understanding of Power BI
    • Alteryx Experience
    • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
