Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Demand & Supply Management (DSM) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Demand Planning & Forecasting Business Lead. The main responsibilities of this role are to support Demand & Supply Strategy & Innovation with identification and assessment of business and sales enhancing opportunities with a focus on applying advanced analytics, strategic insight & business intelligence tools. Reporting to the DSM Business Insight & Strategy Manager, the person in this highly visible role will work across multiple departments to supply in-depth analysis and data-driven solutions for demand & supply operations and support the department’s aim to optimize TMNA Sales & Production Planning. What you’ll be doing Challenge the impossible by rethinking how we strategically do business and finding areas of opportunity through better leveraging of data Finding best recommendations to improve North America sales opportunities, customer demand & supply capacity Identify areas of operational transformation through analytics & work closely with operational teams to achieve and deploy Support operational team members to identify analytics opportunities based on market and supply conditions Work cross-functionally with other TMNA Analytics teams to support creation and use of advanced analytical demand forecasting models Leverage innovative technologies to improve analytical capabilities What you bring Bachelor's degree Healthy mix between a data scientist, business strategist and an opportunist Passion for identifying sales and profit opportunities and rapidly designing and deploying pilots and POCs to test solutions. Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools to effectively analyze and explain large datasets Advanced in Alteryx or similar ETL/DS tool that allows for rapid building of sustainable data workflows and models (data blending, cleansing, API parsing, apps, macros and predictive/prescriptive modeling) Proficient in SQL, Python and/or R for querying and model creation/tweaking Attention to the user experience and identifying areas of opportunity to enhance the UX Consulting with stakeholders to fully flesh out requirements with excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation Applying statistics, forecasting, clustering, optimization, and ML/AI model design for business applications Avid learner that enjoys staying on top of the latest tech and what’s possible Excellent analytic & business acumen with the ability to connect and present complex technical requirements with business outcomes Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Framing a presentation clearly, compellingly, and concisely Added bonus if you have A portfolio showcasing your work in modeling, dashboarding, solutioning Supply chain management experience Understanding of the automotive industry and business issues affecting Toyota MBA / MS in Data Science or Business Analytics What we’ll bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
