About The Role
This role is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies of tna food processing equipment according to blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
This Position will be based in Wilsonville, Oregon and will be reporting into the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role includes:
- Operate production line equipment with a level of complexity requiring specified training and assemble products, units, machines, equipment, and/or subassemblies.
- Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, cut, and fit pipe and tubing.
- Remove small quantities of metal using hand files, emery cloth, or portable grinders to clean parts and/or produce close fit between parts.
- Align components with bolts and screws using hand tools or portable powered tools.
- Drill, tap, or ream holes using a drill press or portable drill.
- Install moving parts such as shafts, levers, or bearings working them to a test free movement.
- Thread, bend and install pipe for electrical conduit.
- Align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
- May test or assist in testing operation of completed product.
- May operate machines, such as arbor, brake, or punch presses, shears, cut off saws, form roller, and drill press, to cut and shape components to specified dimensions during assembly process.
- Troubleshoot fit, form, and function issues and relay feedback to lead and engineering department.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Trade qualifications in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, fitter, welder, or fabrication.
- Mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, auto or small engine mechanic, fabrication
- Able to problem solve & make decisions in line with organizational philosophies and practices.
- Able to execute and meet deadlines, ensuring & emphasizing attention to detail.
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Able to deliver information using different methods and ensuring that messages have been received and understood.
- Ability to interpret complex issues into simple language that all employees can understand.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and spreadsheets
- Bilingual with English language proficiency, written and verbal (if applicable).
