Description

The QC/CMM Programmer inspects, tests, samples processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products to ensure conformity to the customers prints and specifications. Responsibilities include programming and operating the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure appropriate product development and configuration. 

Requirements

  • Measures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers or the CMM. 
  • Marks items with details, such as grade or acceptance-rejection status. 
  • Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications in accordance with procedures under the Company's QMS.
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems. 
Related Position Functions:
  • Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations or needed actions.
  • Recommend necessary corrective actions, based on inspection results.
  • Read prints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustments methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments needed. 
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates verbally or in written form.
  • Maintaining quality documentation, preparing first article and final inspection reports. 
Experience, Education & Required Skills:
  • Technical training and or current relevant experience demonstrating competency in the essential functions for the position.
  • Ability to proficiently use the CMM software. Polyworks preferred, Faro Edge Arm preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a group or team.
  • Ability to effectively express ideas and thought verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to accurately record and enter information into reports and records.
  • Work directly with customers to help solve problems.
