Hen House in Gretna is hiring! We are looking for a baker who is familiar with or eager to learn gluten free baking. We are located on 938 Hancock St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

*Daily responsibilities include bagels, brioche, baguettes, tortillas, muffing, cakes, puff pastry, cookies, brownies, etc *Shift starts at 3 am so must be an early riser. Shifts ends at 7:30 am. *Weekends a must *Some shifts will be solo
Responsibilities

*Weigh and measure ingredients *Mix and blend batters *Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products. *Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed *Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods *Prepare and maintain inventory *Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
Qualifications

*Attention to detail in all aspects of baking *Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal *Experience as a Baker a plus

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
About TOAST, LLC: Toast is a neighborhood bakery where you can sit at the breakfast bar while sipping a cafe au lait and enjoying an omelette or you can grab a coffee and cinnamon roll on your way to work. All breads, jams, custards, and curds are made in house daily.
