Job Summary
Provides direct patient care. Outpatient setting, COVID testing and other outpatient Duties
- Works and supports MD and LVN
Job Duties
Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting routine lab specimens, preparing for exam, etc.; collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; performing aseptic procedures, taking vital signs; phlebotomous blood withdrawal & nonintravenous injections; administering medications by unit dosage; observing & reporting patients’ signs or symptoms; administering basic first aid; assisting physicians/nurses with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls and providing pertinent information. Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned.
Clinic has pharmacy and x-ray
Maintains clinical skills and competency through orientation, annual and ongoing education, and direct patient care.
Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.
All other duties as assigned and specified by clinical assignment and site.
Requirements:
- Active Certification from accredited university or training facility
- Experience Required- Preferred 1 year (Client Specific)
- BLS (AHA) – Tribal Health Requirement
Worksite: Sycuan Medical Center, 5442 Sycuan Road, El Cajon, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8a-4p
