What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vision Systems Engineer position at Tokai Rika Group?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Technical working knowledge of vision systems both in Hardware/Software, lighting methodologies, vision filtering techniques, machine vision optics, MSA, Gage R&R, 2D/3D vision systems, machine-learning algorithms, and HMI development.
· Develops code and integrates complex software components into a fully functional software system.
· Programming/creating in Cognex/Keyence Vision Systems
· Troubleshoots and debugs existing Vision Systems
· Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
· Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
· Participates/collaborates with Project Teams to develop and implement end-to-end solutions for integrating automation on a plant/assembly line level.
· Leads the development of specifications requirements related to vision and designs/develops the entire vision solution that include choosing image-acquisition hardware, lighting, material handling technique, optics, data acquisition, automatic reporting, integration to other equipment, calibration process, validation process, and operator interface strategies.
· Collaborates with external integrators/vendors on designing and implementing vision system solutions.
EDUCATION AND EXPRERIENCE:
1. Education
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering – Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Robotics, Systems Engineering or related technical field.
2. Experience & Skills
· 2 years of experience working with integrating Keyence or Cognex solutions in a production environment for high/low speed applications.
· PLC/Machine Programming & Troubleshooting
· Excellent attention to detail
