Job Title: NYC UTILITY CONSTRUCTION CERTIFIED TABLEAU EXPERT

Location: White Plains, NY

Hourly Rate/Salary: $124,800.00 to $166,400.00 per year, W2/1099 CONTRACT

Summary/Objective: Toll is seeking a NYC UTILITY CONSTRUCTION CERTIFIED TABLEAU EXPERT, to develop multi-level dashboards with drill-down capability to summarize Microsoft SQL information from a Cost and Schedule Construction Data Warehouse, is the primary focus for the following position.

Responsibilities:

• Process of automating load process of data values for periodic / historic data Automated creation of 50 contract tables from Oracle Primavera PCM.
• Manage the life cycle of Tableau analytics dashboards, including business requirements gathering, functional specification write-up, prototyping, development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation.

• Act as Tableau developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) as well as work closely with data management programmers to ensure data sources are accurate, available and analyzable.

• Analyzing data from the integrated program/project control and reporting systems.
• Hands on with Tableau Desktop/Web (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management)
• Preparing project control reports and presentations

• Create and edit SQL queries within Tableau to build calculated fields.

• Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.

• Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server. Collaborate with data management programmers and QA analysts to test, clean, and standardized data to meet the business requirements.
• Familiar with New York Power Authority regulations, compliance, protocols, and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in, Computer Science, IT, engineering, accounting, economic or business administration discipline or a Project Management Professional certification along with a technical degree.
• Tableau Certification is a PLUS
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the area of dashboard development, data visualization on medium to large‐scale projects in Construction Utilities industries

• Must have demonstrated the ability to design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards using Tableau and possesses the knowledge and experience on data visualization best practices.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years life cycle of Tableau analytics dashboards including business requirements gathering, functional specification.
• Must demonstrate working closely with data management programmers to ensure data sources are accurate, available and analyzable.
• Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products, Primavera (Oracle’s Project Management software), SQL, POWER BI, TABLEAU.

• MUST have 10 Years Experience in Hands on with Tableau Desktop/Web (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management).

• Significant UTILITY experience
• Knowledge of other software applications like MS word and MS Excel
• Must Have 10 Years EXPERIENCE in Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.

• Experience working with New York Power Authority

• Skilled in analyzing and presenting in-depth Job progress

• Ability to handle working on multiple projects simultaneously

• PMP, PSP certification is desirable.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

• Ability to work independently and with others

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word

• Good writing/communication skills

• Self-starter

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Duration and Lever of Effort: Minimum of 6-months duration
