Controls Field Technician

Position Summary:

The Controls Field Technician is responsible for coordinating with Project Manager and the Start Up Controls Manager to complete new car wash site start-ups. The Controls Field Technician’s will be dispatch to the site to take a car wash from operable to working and washing cars.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs start-up/commissioning of equipment at new car wash sites.
• Directs electricians to complete terminations.
• Help install/chemical crew to complete/coordinate proper functioning based on start-up checklist during the startup process.
• Ensures product quality and installation of electrical equipment accuracy.
• Ensures franchise standard at Tommy Express sites as it relates to equipment and controls.
• Evaluates franchise site standards, reporting to franchise team for site readiness.
• Assists in writing any production components as needed.
• Able to assist electrical contractors around the country with plan questions, parts, wiring and terminations over the phone.

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience within controls
• Car Wash experience a plus
• Willing to travel
• Technical capacity
• Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
• Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Views customer care as high priority
