Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stabilizing new sales opportunities to achieve sales and margin goals for our New Business Development Accounts. Responsible for building lasting relationships with new customers, soliciting new business across all product categories and is also responsible for selling and educating the customer base on Tomric capabilities and products. Finally, is accountable to achieve key metrics that support success for the growth of Tomric market wide relationships. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

General Accountabilities:

  • Maintains a      positive customer relationship to ensure converted business. 
  • Builds      lasting customer relationships by vetting and profiling new customers not      doing business or set up to do new business with Tomric today by      initiating customer relationships and providing solution development-built      sales.
  • Consistent      outbound call efforts to potential customers generated by Business      Development call campaigns, inbound leads, and initial sales pursuit,      articulating the value proposition for solutions/products aligning to the      customer needs and speaking to customer-specific use cases.
    • Outbound       call goals to be set by Director of Sales and shared on a one-to-one       basis.
  • Responsible      for setting up new accounts, following up on leads and profiling potential      customers to vet their real opportunity and sell the entire Tomric      offering. 
  • Communicates      with various departments to support execution of new account opening,      which includes working with Finance to facilitate needed next steps.

· Informs customers on Tomric’s portfolio, promotions, and services available, assisting in the effort of growing the business.

  • Coordinates and ensures the involvement      of internal resources, including culinary, packaging, custom molds and      management resources, transportation, and pricing, to meet account      performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Negotiates pricing and/or bid support as      necessary to acquire new business or regain lost business.
  • Collaborates, coordinates, and      strategizes with customers and sales management to define detailed growth      strategies to grow customer business.
  • Understands      and demonstrates Tomric’s Core Values.
  • Performs      other duties as assigned, including answering inbound phone calls for      Tomric corporate office.

  

Job Qualifications:

Required Skills

· Demonstrated determination to achieve ever-increasing level of performance involving setting high standards and challenging goals and requires a constant focus on achieving and exceeding those goals.

· Ability to analyze, understand, and document potential customer needs. 

· Ability to prioritize prospects and then move them to purchase within the team environment.

· Ability to utilize CRM software for documentation of all sales activities and for scheduling planned activities.

· Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Excellent organizational skills      and attention to detail
  • Good math and written      communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office      suite or related software.
  • Efficient time management      skills

Preferred Skills

  • Associate      Degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent experience required.

· Minimum three (3) years related Sales experience.

· Knowledge of effective sales and negotiating techniques.

· Broad industry product knowledge.

  • Attention to      detail and a focus on fact-based decision-making, compelling articulation      of unique Tomric value proposition within service level constraints, general      expertise in industry and market.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

· Must wear appropriate PPE in designated areas.

· Required to stand for an extended period of time, walk or sit.

· Regularly required use hands and arms.

· Required to communicate/speak in English and possess basic math skills.
