JOB SUMMARY

Tonkawa is seeking a full time Financial Planner to join our wealth planning team. The Financial Planner will assist the VP of Wealth Planning in providing wealth plans (including strategic and tactical financial plans and forecasts, balance sheet management, general wealth management and financial analysis), investment portfolio management, trust analysis, and general planning administration to three generations of family members. This position will closely partner with other internal departments, including tax, investment, accounting, and other business functions to integrate information and provide analytics with the ultimate goal of assisting multi-generational family members in achieving their personal and financial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning

  • Generate comprehensive personal financial projections (“Wealth Plans”) which include projected balance sheets, cash flows, debt structure, deferred compensation arrangements and philanthropic giving by working closely with the VP of Wealth Planning and other internal departments
  • Assist with client meetings by preparation of meeting agendas/materials, client paperwork, portfolio reviews, financial analysis, and post-client meeting tasks
  • Involvement in ad hoc financial planning, forecast and budgeting projects
  • Assist in organizing family member estate plans including analyzing asset titles, updating beneficiary designations, and diagraming trust and estate documents
  • Assist with personal insurance reviews and paperwork
  • Assist in estate, trust and entity administration
  • Involvement in ad hoc administration projects

Portfolio Management

  • Maintain client accounts (money movement requests, transfers, account applications, and other administrative account paperwork)
  • Implement investment ideas
  • Assist with investment portfolio asset allocation modeling
  • Involvement in ad hoc investment projects and research

Cash and Debt Management

  • Forecast and manage family cash requirements
  • Work with VP of Wealth Planning to facilitate efficient use of debt

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics or related degree
  • JD, CFP, CFA or CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 6 years’ experience working in Family Office/Multi-Family Office/Private Bank/Wealth Management providing the following to high-net-worth individuals and families:
  • Financial planning and integration of multiple financial disciplines to assist clients in making financial decisions
  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Trust administration
  • Investment analysis and management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others internally and externally achieving high quality customer service
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion is of utmost importance
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize tasks with minimal direction and a commitment to getting the job done
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and analyze data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications
