YOUR LIFE AS AN ASPHALT PAVING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

In this position, you play an important role in projects getting completed in a thorough and high-quality manner. Before beginning, you inspect all designated work areas for hazards and obstructions, ensure that the screed is preheated before placement, and inspect each tool or piece of equipment to check that they are ready for use. Your previous experience comes in handy as you operate all components of the asphalt paving machine including the screed, augers, hopper, and other heavy equipment. Some of your other daily tasks include checking filters, greasing, loading, and unloading equipment.

To keep things running smoothly, you make sure that company materials and tools are maintained, kept cleaned, and stored in a safe manner. As a team player, you work closely with testing laboratory technicians to effectively establish the compaction of materials. You also communicate with material suppliers and dump truck operators to ensure the safe transport, loading, and dumping of materials. Work is enjoyable and fulfilling because you get to utilize your abilities, play an important part of the team, and provide high-quality results!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• High school diploma or equivalent
n
• Driver's license
n
• 3 or more years of experience as an asphalt paving equipment operator
n
• Knowledge about the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy construction
n
• Physically able to perform the necessary functions of the job including the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
n

1 years of experience in the road construction industry and thorough knowledge about paving operations are preferred qualifications. If you can meet these requirements and perform this operator job as described above, we would be happy to have you as part of our team!
