Cardenas Markets is seeking a retail store Meat Wrapper to join our team. Under direct supervision, the Meat Wrapper specializes in preparing, cutting, processing, and wrapping meats, maintains cleanliness within the work area, fills product displays, checks dates to rotate products, and provides exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Work professionally as part of the team and provide excellent customer service;
- Utilize machines to wrap, seal and labels meats, poultry, and seafood;
- Clean and cut meat as needed;
- Maintain safety and health guidelines;
- Assist Meat Cutter and Meat Clerk.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Valid Food Handlers Card;
- Prior food preparer experience at a grocery store required;
- Must be friendly and people oriented;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS : The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

- WALKING : Continuously, throughout the shift, while moving about the store and obtaining product.
- STANDING : Continuously, throughout the shift.
- LIFTING : Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
