Host/Busser - Deer Valley Trails

Summary

The host is responsible for greeting guests upon their arrival to ensure an immediate good experience at Deer Valley Trails. A Host must be able to monitor table rotation to ensure servers are getting a fair number of tables without giving too many all at one time. Hosts are an integral part in providing excellent customer service and experience for all guests by being attentive to their needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. The Busser is responsible for cleaning tables, taking plates, utensils and drink ware to the kitchen to be washed, making sure customers’ water glasses are full, and resetting tables for the next service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver customers the highest level of quality service to ensure an exceptional dining experience at DVT
• Welcome and thank guests
• Answering questions - accurately and politely
• Maintaining a clean and organized waiting area
• Prepare dining room by setting tables and decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils
• Assist serves with customer questions/concerns by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
• Supports servers by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to spills or other special needs
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Performing opening, closing & side duties – cleaning glass, sweeping & vacuuming the floor, wiping menus, restroom maintenance, et
• Assist with special events as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 1-2 years restaurant experience
• Knowledge of restaurant procedures and processes

Compensation:

• This is roles is $12-13 an hour plus tips. NOTE: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
