ROLE SUMMARY

The Medical Device Field Service Technician is a field-based position responsible for on-site service, repair, or troubleshooting of Retinal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopes (SLOs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, repair, perform preventive maintenance, and retrofit instrument products.
  • Support customers on the operational aspects of the instrument, equipment, and software.
  • Complete and submit all Regulatory and company required documentation.
  • Provide remote diagnosis/repair support when needed.
  • Become proficient in UltraWidefield Retinal Imaging with skillsets in OCT and Fiber Optic technology.
  • Maintain inventory accountability for all parts, tools, and calibrated equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education gained through work experiences.
  • Previous field service engineer experience in the medical device industry.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong desire to exceed personal and company goals.
  • Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities.
  • Ability to manage expenses, travel arrangements and customer management
  • PC, server, and network integration experience.
  • Skilled in instrument operation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office applications), basic networking knowledge & ability to perform virtual communication tasks.
  • Be able to lift/carry 60 lbs.
  • Ability to travel overnight – up to 80% (some weekend travel).
  • Clean and safe driving record
Salary: $50k

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-6pm

Travel: 50% travel required for this position
