Position: Lead Software Engineer Salary: $130k to $170k Location: Remote ***No Sponsorship Available***
Role Overview:
Lead the development and maintenance of software solutions including integrations, web applications, services, APIs, ETL processes, and job orchestration across various systems. Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on development and support of software solutions.
Engage in applications architecture and strategy.
Mentor and guide software engineers.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to align solutions with business goals.
Drive quality excellence and continuous improvement.
Communicate status updates and escalate issues as needed.
Stay abreast of emerging software engineering trends and tools.
Lead multiple projects and support efforts of moderate complexity.
Provide emergency support and conduct root-cause analysis.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field.
Preferred: Master's degree and Azure certification(s).
Experience:
Required:
3 years leading a technical team.
8 years in hands-on software engineering.
Experience with IT production operations and designing complex transaction systems.
Strong experience in software engineering methodologies and relational database development.
Proficiency with version control tools, batch job processing, scripting, and data modeling.
Working with end users to build technical solutions.
Desired:
Healthcare industry experience.
5 years with web applications, event-driven integrations, APIs, cloud experience (Azure preferred).
Experience with MS-SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, EDI, Agile, DevOps, and SDLC methodologies.
Knowledge of web security protocols and systems.
5 years with Scaled Agile, C#, and .NET.
Skills:
Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCS).
Project estimation and forecasting staffing needs.
