Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee all plant operations, ensuring that production, maintenance, safety, quality, and sanitation standards are consistently met
- Quality & Safety: Maintain rigorous quality and safety standards for both products and employees
- Departmental Coordination: Facilitate effective communication across departments to align with corporate goals and provide feedback on process changes affecting products and personnel
- Leadership & Development: Select, mentor, and motivate departmental leaders; conduct regular meetings on production, safety, quality, maintenance, and sanitation
- Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance individual, team, and overall business performance
- Talent Management: Collaborate with HR on talent management, including policy enforcement, performance reviews, and recruitment
- Fiscal Responsibility: Manage the plant’s P&L, develop budgets, and ensure fiscal responsibility, including controlling expenses related to shrinkage, labor, and overhead
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain audit readiness for customers and regulatory agencies; ensure compliance with corporate, customer, and government audits; oversee environmental health compliance
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous learning and stay updated on industry technologies and processes; implement and ensure compliance with plant safety programs and SOPs
- Customer Requirements: Direct manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements at optimal costs and quality
- Best Practices: Share best practices with other plant managers within the company
- Experience: 5-7 years in food manufacturing, preferably in the dairy industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred
