CNC Lathe Operator SWING SHIFT

TopTier LLC is a comprehensive manufacturing facility located in Clackamas Oregon. In house we have a full metal fabrication shop, sub assembly and final assembly cells, an electrical panel shop and much more. We specialize in providing the finest palletizing equipment to a wide range of industries. Our machinery and talented team allow us to provide each client with custom fabricated, meticulously assembled finished products which are tested in house before being delivered. We are capable of producing machines ranging in size from a small two story house to a single pallet stretch wrapper and many options in between.

We currently looking for candidates for a CNC Lathe Operator on our Day shift (Monday-Friday 5:00am-1:30pm, 40 hours/week). The Top Tier CNC Lathe Operator is an important member of the team who is responsible for setup and operating a Haas DS30Y dual spindle multi axis CNC lathe to produce parts from mild and stainless steel.

What you can expect to do day to day:

• Interpret information from drawings with strong attention to detail
• Set-up and operate Haas DS30Y Dual Spindle multi axis CNC lathe
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with the production schedule ensuring the required best working practices are maintained at all times
• Ensure that industry quality standards are maintained on all fabricated equipment
• Comply with health and safety regulations, the company handbook, quality standards, and all other company policies and procedures
• Work independently
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Proactively communicate with the team
• Identify and recommend improvement opportunities within the department and organization
• Work with engineering to create programs for new parts
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Complete all required documentation

What you bring to the table:

• Must be proficient in CNC lathe/mill operations
• Minimum one year experience CNC operating
• Knowledge of precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Able to read precision measuring equipment and pass a written test to confirm competency
• Basic math skills are required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be motivated self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
• Must possess excellent organizational skills
• Detail oriented and committed to excellence
• Takes pride in their work and owns mistakes
• Ability to adapt to new and changing work environments
• Manual machining skills are a plus
