Description:

The Lumber Dry Kiln Supervisor in Arizona will report to the Mill Manager and be responsible for leading the kiln operations personnel. Safety is paramount so managing the staff in a safe and efficient manner is key. You will be responsible for kiln operations ensuring optimum quality and throughput.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years experience sawmill lumber dry kiln operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of OSHA health and safety regulations.
• Must be a legal US resident. Unfortunately, there is no visa sponsorship offered for this role.
• Strong communication skills with emphasis on relaying technical information is an easy-to-understand manner.
• Strong computer and report writing skills.
• Strong desire to continuously learn.
• Strong leadership skills, displaying integrity, and a team building culture.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Supervisory experience.
• Working with Safety as the key factor in an injury free workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to recognize unsafe behaviors in employees.
• Coordinate kiln maintenance with millwright staff work requirements with direct reports.
• Perform all related supervisor duties (reports, payroll, incident reporting, performance, training, vacation, work scheduling, etc.).
• Responsible for high quality kiln drying and effective kiln operations.
