Job Purpose:

The HME Group is seeking an accountant to join our growing team.

The accountant will be responsible for various accounting duties which include research, analysis, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. If you are looking to exit public accounting or advance your career as a private accountant this could be the job for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full job cost accounting to include cost analysis & billings
• Review of contracts for accounting, insurance, and bonding requirements
• Coordination with project management on change order requests and change orders on projects
• Monthly progress billing responsibility for in-progress projects
• Monthly coordination of cost projections on in-progress projects
• Completed contract profit analysis and estimate analysis
• Manage invoicing and billings for equipment rentals
• Coordination of intercompany accounts and transactions
• Accounting for inventory movements and costing to projects
• Job profitability and manufacturing efficiency analysis
• Timely and accurate processing of payroll
• Timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes and payroll tax reports
• Coordination with monthly financial preparation and year-end audit requirements
• Analyze financial reports for the various entities
• Advise on general business issues and assist with business plans

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Accounting Internship or 1 year of accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of accounting software and basic Microsoft Office programs
• Must have a high degree of integrity and the ability to work with confidential information
• Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple ongoing projects
