What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tennis Professional position at Topnotch Resort?
Job Overview: Participate in all aspects of tennis facility programming and management at the Tennis Center, focusing primarily on teaching, coaching and overall growth of player and programs base.
- Develop Tennis lesson clientele through Juniors, Guest and Member private, semi-private, clinics and extra events
- Provide safe instruction and identify potential hazards
- Assist in expanding current and developing new programming
- Manage financial success of tennis programs
- Recruit new clientele
- Maintain current clientele - keep track of “out of town” clients to schedule services
- Schedule and book next day lessons and activities
- Daily and/or weekly meetings with Tennis Director
- Promote programs through verbal communication (phone calls, marketing)
- Attend all staff meetings & participate in staff trainings
- Return all messages within 24-hours
- Prepare self-evaluations and player evaluations
- Maintain condition of own equipment including stringing your own racquets
- Adhere to all guidelines and responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook
- Provide coverage when requesting time-off
- Maintain USPTA or USPTR Certification
- Maintain accurate payroll records
- Maintain accurate court reservation records
- Perform light court and Pro Shop maintenance tasks (sweeping, organization, etc.)
- Weed balls
- String racquets as needed
- Performs other hotel duties as assigned
- Ability to effectively teach and coach guests and other associates
- Ability to promote and market the Tennis Facility
- Ability to participate in the creation, execution and management of events
- Ability to train and supervise team
- Exceptional public and guest relations abilities
- Ability to create, manage and adhere to a budget
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time,
