At Toppers are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning that supports growth and our strategic objectives. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Franchise Training Coordinator to lead our training initiatives.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days per week in office) reporting to our Corporate Headquarters in Whitewater, WI. This position also requires the ability to travel up to 20-40% of the time for new store openings and in-store training.

The Franchise Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing companywide, comprehensive training programs to align with the organization’s goals and objectives. The ideal candidate must have a solid knowledge of training fundamentals focused on high quality customer service and creative adult learning styles. Responsible for updating and organizing all company training programs that help attract talent, retain employees, build leaders, drive performance and advance skills. They must identify and correct training gaps while managing multiple training initiatives concurrently. In this role, you will ensure that Toppers’ core values, operating principles and business strategies are incorporated into all training.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of instructional design or training within a restaurant setting.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint) and Adobe.
  • Proficiency in training software and multimedia tools for content development and delivery.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align learning and development strategies with business goals.
  • Experience in guiding leadership and project team members through a Change Management approach for implementation of new programs.
  • Ability to apply instructional design principles, learning theory, and educational technologies in the design and development of various methods of learning experiences.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in creating procedures, materials, and training programs for a franchise system.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, advanced verbal and written communication, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects to achieve deadlines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, lead and/or design the most complex learning programs and/or curricula applying a variety of methodologies (in-person, virtual Instructor-led training, and on-demand eLearning training) to meet specific company objectives.
  • Develop quality learning materials (fully illustrated visual presentations, learners’ guides, job aids, role-play exercises, and handouts) for in-person, eLearning, and video training modules.
  • Assist with training in safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures including but not limited to the use and proper cleaning of all equipment.
  • Achieve and maintain a level of excellence in all functions outlined in store Team Member job descriptions.
  • Monitor and assess training program effectiveness through metrics and feedback mechanisms, adjusting as needed to ensure desired outcomes
  • Ensure new store openings' effectiveness through training programs and learning materials.
  • Review and update existing restaurant systems, equipment, and operations procedures leading to the achievement of companywide targets and goals.
  • Implement and facilitate a new Franchisee training program that ensures operational standards are met and improve scalability.
  • Serve as the primary communicator of all processes and procedures with Franchisees/Store Management.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess training needs, create engaging content, and facilitate impactful learning experiences for all levels of the company.
  • Establish role-based competency frameworks and associated career growth roadmaps.

Minimum Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult education, organizational development, communications or related field
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet minimum MVR requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
