Job Posting for Deli Clerk at Tops Markets, LLC
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer requests for deli products
· Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
· Follow a “clean as you go” policy to ensure sanitary conditions
· Maintain proper shelf, case, display, and cooler conditions by stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product
· Follow all store Shrink procedure with regards to deli discards
· Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Deli Department
· Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Deli operations, safety, and sanitation
· Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, and cases and are in working condition
· Follow direction of Deli Manager, Assistant Manager and/ or MOD, inform appropriate people of any problems, perform tasks as assigned
Essential Functions and Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
· Possess basic computer skills
· Accurate vision
· Promote sales through courteous and friendly customer service
· Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
· Maintain proper shelf, cooler, case, and floor conditions
· Occasional amounts of sitting, pushing/pulling of loads up to 100 lb, climbing, crouching, and reaching
· Frequent amounts of standing, walking, lifting/carrying loads up to 70 lb, handling, talking, and hearing
· Operation of the following
-Oven/Heat Gun -Fryolator -Wrapping Machine
-Cheese Cutter -Chicken Roaster -Slicer
-Can opener -Computerized Scales
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.30 per hour
