What are the responsibilities and job description for the Polisher/Laborer position at TOPS Staffing?
Currently we are looking to add 2 people to our finishing department.
Job Details:
Daylight shift – 4am to 2:30pm - 10hr shift x 4 days a week schedule
Monday to Thursday schedule, overtime of Friday if needed
Starting Pay rate of $17 - $18
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Light Material Handling – maintain supply for polishing area
• Deburr parts coming from machine shop – use of both hand and bench grinding wheels and hand files.
• Finish polish pieces, using both hand and bench polishers using a series of different grit polishing pads to bring finished product to finish grade polish
- Position will involve wearing a respirator
• General clean up of work area
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior manufacturing or construction experience
• Prior material handling experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing
• Repetitive lifting, bending, carrying, some climbing
• Must wear a respirator in this position. Have to be clean shaven for respirator to seal properly.
