Curriculum Developer working with the NCO Leadership Center of Excellence (NCOLCoE ) to assist in maintaining the full range of NCOPDS curriculum and to keep courses current and relevant by following the established processes for development of mandated learning products. Selected candidates would support Directorate of Curriculum Development's role in the Army Learning Concept for Training and Education 2020-2040 transformation. Primary duties include developing and reviewing of NCOPDS lesson plans, storyboards, and designing programs of instruction. Experience required.
These Positions Require:
· Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferred in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, English, Creative Writing, or Technical Writing.
· Blackboard 101 and 201, and curriculum development certifications such as Faculty Development Program (FDP) level three. If no certification, attend and graduate from the NCOLCoE FDP series courses.
· Be proficient in the Army’s Systems Approach to Training (SAT) – the five phased approach to education development: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (also known as ADDIE).
· Two or more years of experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Additionally, the Government prefers knowledge and skills associated with Army learning management systems (ALMS), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
· Knowledge of image mining, infographics, and screen casting in addition to audio narration is preferred.
· Experience in the following areas: Learning theory, learning styles, learning models, and facilitation techniques.
Qualifications
· One year of specialized experience as instructional analysis, design, development, and implementation of lesson development; ALMS; and Blackboard. Applicants must have experience as a CD at an Army school or educational facilities, and/or active-duty military experience.
· Have facilitator experience to create curriculum from the perspective of the facilitator.
· Be able to demonstrate proficiency in writing using the current version of APA style.
· Have completed the Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD – IC) or equivalent, Common Faculty Development – Developer Course (CFD – DC) or equivalent.
