The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, TopSpot’s Creative Content Strategist drives our creative process, strategy, and execution of content for TopSpot as a brand. This role is responsible for bringing TopSpot’s strategic work, differentiators, and industrial & B2B knowledge to life across multiple content channels and for various audiences.
Not only will this role deliver projects in a fast-paced, team environment, they oversee the planning, scheduling, execution, and creative evolution of TopSpot’s content initiatives. Strong creative writing, critical thinking, organizational skills, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
Essential Functions
Develop a comprehensive content strategy that is reflective of TopSpot’s brand, our differentiators, and our experience. The content strategy should be aligned with internal initiatives, as well as external initiatives such as economic changes, industrial landscape, and search marketing industry.
As part of TopSpot’s content strategy, create, maintain, and execute a content marketing calendar that is intentional on TopSpot’s differentiators, market conditions, industrial and B2B spaces, and supports the overall expected Customer journey and TopSpot’s growth initiatives.
Proactively plan, write, edit, and publish content for case studies, website content & blogs, whitepapers, email marketing, sales collateral, infographics, third party publications, video, and more.
Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to write compelling, creative, and timely content that conveys and builds upon TopSpot’s history, thought leadership, and innovation in the industrial and search marketing spaces.
Partner with all departments throughout TopSpot to develop a multi-faceted content strategy that satisfies the needs of different departments and impacts various audiences. Examples of this include:
Strategically identify website update opportunities to support ongoing initiatives
Identify opportunities to showcase TopSpot’s thought leadership and range through content related activities such as article features, podcast interviews, awards, organizations, and conferences
Monitor and prepare monthly reporting on content initiatives with key targets and results around search engine performance, engagement, and qualified leads generated. Tools you will utilize include:
Continuously stay updated on news, economic conditions, and search marketing industry for context and perspective that affect industrial and B2B markets to assist in decision making for content creation and optimization. This includes:
