Qualification
- Three (5) years or more of Business Analysis experience at a professional level
- CCBA/CBAP certification preferred
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an IT-related subject
Responsibilities
- As an IT Business Analyst, you will design, document, and manage against a project Business Analysis Plan to ensure that critical and appropriate Business Analysis methods and deliverables are applied to the project from discovery through closure to support the achievement of the project's objectives and benefits
- Gather user requirements via interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics
- Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
- Assist in evaluating software and hardware products alignment to business needs
- Analyze and verify requirements for applicability, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, completeness, and conformity to standards
- Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
- Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting
- The role involves intensive interaction with departmental officials who may advocate strongly for their programs
