We are looking for an experienced industrial Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibilities will be to support production by repairing, maintaining and improving process equipment in a multi-craft environment. This position will work a 2-2-3, 6:15am - 6:30pm schedule. This position does require over time and has emergency/on call responsibilities. The successful candidate will have an exceptional safety focus, strong technical aptitude with manufacturing experience preferred.
The M-3 Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the following items related to maintaining the production facility and equipment:
- Perform basic and intermediate equipment repair and replacement
- Perform basic and intermediate rigging techniques
- Perform basic and intermediate use of maintenance shop equipment
- Perform daily checks of assigned equipment
- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment failures
- Complete M3 Core Competency requirements
Essential Duties:
- Understand and follow all safety rules
- Actively participate in team safety and improvement idea activities
- Report all safety and equipment incidents promptly using Toray’s incident reporting system
- Complete daily rounds of assigned equipment
- Maintain proper documentation including computer data entry as necessary (Daily logs, INFOR EAM)
- Actively correct and improve any machine safety or equipment operation issues
- Perform routine breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant and maintenance shop
- Handle equipment using powered pallet jacks or forklifts as well as rigging equipment
- Basic understanding or ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and INFOR EAM
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain good attendance
- Perform all M2 responsibilities and duties as needed
- Complete required M3 training within the allowed time period
Skill & Qualifications required:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements
- Able to work 12 hour work shift
- Able to work required overtime as necessary
- Certified forklift, scissor lift and aerial lift operator
- Holds a current driver’s license
Education and Experience required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some computer skills required
- Manufacturing Mechanical or Electrical experience preferred
- Completion of M2 Core Competencies
