We are looking for an experienced industrial Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibilities will be to support production by repairing, maintaining and improving process equipment in a multi-craft environment. This position will work a 2-2-3, 6:15am - 6:30pm schedule. This position does require over time and has emergency/on call responsibilities. The successful candidate will have an exceptional safety focus, strong technical aptitude with manufacturing experience preferred.

The M-3 Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the following items related to maintaining the production facility and equipment:

  • Perform basic and intermediate equipment repair and replacement
  • Perform basic and intermediate rigging techniques
  • Perform basic and intermediate use of maintenance shop equipment
  • Perform daily checks of assigned equipment
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment failures
  • Complete M3 Core Competency requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Understand and follow all safety rules
  • Actively participate in team safety and improvement idea activities
  • Report all safety and equipment incidents promptly using Toray’s incident reporting system
  • Complete daily rounds of assigned equipment
  • Maintain proper documentation including computer data entry as necessary (Daily logs, INFOR EAM)
  • Actively correct and improve any machine safety or equipment operation issues
  • Perform routine breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant and maintenance shop
  • Handle equipment using powered pallet jacks or forklifts as well as rigging equipment
  • Basic understanding or ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and INFOR EAM
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain good attendance
  • Perform all M2 responsibilities and duties as needed
  • Complete required M3 training within the allowed time period

Skill & Qualifications required:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements
  • Able to work 12 hour work shift
  • Able to work required overtime as necessary
  • Certified forklift, scissor lift and aerial lift operator
  • Holds a current driver’s license

Education and Experience required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some computer skills required
  • Manufacturing Mechanical or Electrical experience preferred
  • Completion of M2 Core Competencies
