Job Title: Creative Director
Reports To: CEO
Job Summary:
The Creative Director’s role is to lead our design team and oversee the creative vision for all visual design, packaging, customer co-branding projects, marketing materials, brochures and branding. The Torn Ranch Creative Director will manage a team of two full-time designers and collaborate with outside contractors as needed.
Role:
- Creative Leadership: Develop and execute the overall creative strategy (brand, packaging, digital, print, etc.). Work with senior leadership, the sales team, customers and other contributors to define the go-forward creative strategy, including new packaging, branding and cohesive brand and design execution.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of two full-time designers, providing clear direction, feedback, and support
- Project Oversight: Manage the design processes from concept to final delivery, ensuring projects meet brand guidelines and deadlines
- Contractor Management: Source, hire, and manage external freelance or contract designers as needed to scale resources during peak periods or specialized projects
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, procurement and operations departments within Torn Ranch
- Brand Consistency: Ensure a cohesive and consistent brand identity across all creative touchpoints
- Innovation and Trend Analysis: Stay current (and ahead… we are edgy!) with industry trends and design tools to continue to evolve the Torn Ranch brand
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Strong analytical, problem solving, creative, organizational and leadership skills.
- Previous Packaging design required
- Excellent planning, organization, communication and presentation skills
- Advanced computer and design skills
Additional Comments:
This can be a part-time or full-time Hybrid position. It is expected to be able work in the office with other designers and occasional travel may be required. The pay for this position is 100k depending on a number of factors including the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
