Tornik is looking for a part or full time Quality Manager. We are looking for the right person that is a detail oriented, fast-paced team player which will work with the existing team and customer base that will allow Tornik to continue to grow in our industry.SUMMARYTornik is a fast pace international manufacture of wire and cable harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and sub-assemblies. As the Quality Manager for Tornik you will be primarily responsible for interface with our customers with corrective actions, returned material authorization, solving problems with the help of our diverse team, customer audits, and maintain our quality systems.

This position will report to our President and work closely with our customer service and other team players.

Duties are but not limited to:

  • Management representative for ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and other ISO standards. Ensures that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Management System and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Set Quality Compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved by formulating and manage the development and implementation of goals, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to the Quality Plan.
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters.
  • Write technical and management systems reports that informs the General Manager of system performance and indicates areas for improvement.
  • Promote customer requirements, quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization by engaging staff to incorporate quality methods.
  • Primary supplier contact for issues that affect quality or performance of products or services that are needed by the company to meet customer requirements. Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers that fulfill company and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process, materials and components, processes and finished goods ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that production modifications are investigated and implemented, if necessary, then supervise quality and production staff in carrying out tests and checks.
  • Coordinates internal quality audits and reports to senior management on results of those audits.
  • Liaison to the customer as Corrective Action Coordinator responsible for customer relate complaints and internal and external nonconformance’s ensuring the execution of a corrective action and the compliance with customers specifications.
  • Identify relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training to staff.

Requirements: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to communicate using phone, email, or faxes in order to effectively interface with customers, team members and management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Bi-Lingual speaking a plus – (Spanish)MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.COMPUTER SKILLSMust be proficient in Microsoft Office package, especially excel; manufacturing software (MRP System) Exact MAX experience a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Pay: $61,188.00 - $95,000.00 per year
