About the Role
The Manufacturing Engineer II will be a key player in setting up and improving our manufacturing processes. They will report to the Head of Manufacturing. The role is responsible for designing manufacturing “fixtures, selecting equipment, optimizing production flows, and other similar duties. As a start up, there will be times when this role will require work outside its typical duties.
Responsibilities
- Create current state and future state maps of production processes
- Develop processes for new products
- Design fixtures/jigs for production
- Spec and source components and equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace (5S)
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Complete other tasks as necessary
Experience You’ll Need
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, including Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience designing tooling, jigs, and/or fixtures using SolidWorks
- Experience optimizing production processes
- Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering and 2 years related experience (or equivalent)
