What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at Total Directional?
Inventory Specialist, based out of our Midland, TX shop.
We are looking for an Inventory Specialist with professionalism, keen observation skills, strong intercommunication skills, and solid math skills. You can expect to work very closely with our Inventory Manager and Purchasing Manager, oversee inventory at multiple job sites, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, endure the accuracy of inventory records, monthly cost breakdowns, and occasionally do some heavy lifting.
The responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist will be:
- Inspect incoming packages and shipments for damage and correct number of pieces.
- Any damaged package should be received as such at time of delivery.
- Any pallet missing pieces should be flagged immediately and escalating
- Create Delivery Tickets for POs in a timely manner
- Inspecting for accuracy compared to Packing Slip
- If the Packing Slip is missing, generate one manually listing what was in the shipment. Escalate to Purchaser.
- Uploading Packing slip to Delivery Ticket in Oasis as an attachment.
- Escalate issues with quality or quantity to Purchaser
- Moving inventory to the parts cage in a timely manner.
- Fulfill Part Request In Oasis
- Putting new parts in proper coral for future motor build
- Completing scheduled Counts
- Weekly cycle count - A, B C, D cycle. Each part number should be counted once a month. Uploading documentation to Asana
- Quarterly New Inventory Cage Audit - Everything is counted, again.
- Quarterly Shop Floor count.
- Monthly on site vendor audit of In Vendor Facility assets.
- Backlog cross referencing.
- Preparing outgoing shipments for rework.
- Verifying accuracy of shipping tickets.
- Helping to schedule trucks when needed.
- Preparing shipments of new inventory needing work.
- Daily inventory movements for consumable parts
- Uploading certification/inspection sheets to asset and serialized inventory pages and resetting hours when necessary.
- Communicating with Purchaser when stock levels seem low
- Organizing and keeping tidy the new inventory cage and shop floor items
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Computer Skills
- Consistent use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Working knowledge of word processor, database, and spreadsheet software.
- Able to work weekends on occasion.
Pay for this position will depend on experience.
