What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Total Orthopedics?
We are a durable medical equipment (DME) distributor working with a lead manufacturer and a wide group of orthopedic doctors, clinics, and hospitals throughout 5 states. Our focus is taking care of our customers and their patients. We wear many hats in our small office and pitch in where needed. This position is in our Littleton, Colorado office.
Duties:
- Greeting visitors to the office.
- In-office delivery and/or fitting of a limited range of products to consumers.
- Schedule delivery of post-operative products.
- Check in and maintain inventory.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to track orders.
- Process orders from orthopedic clinics from intake to successful insurance billing working with clinics’ staff, patients, and manufacturer’s departments.
- Support field team with various tasks.
- General knowledge of manufacturer’s product lines (can be gained during training) with continually increasing understanding of product use to assist patients.
- Utilize proprietary software to bill for prescribed products.
- Preauthorize prescribed products.
- Communicate with manufacturer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills for our customers and their patients.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills – in person, over the phone, and email.
- Independent worker. Able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to be part of a team.
- High level of personal integrity.
- Problem-solving and coordination of different types of customers to reach the patient goal.
- Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word. Some knowledge of Teams and Access (data entry).
- Office presence Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in our Littleton office.
- Reliable transportation/commute to the office; no other travel required.
- Background check will be required.
