Total Safety is looking for an Offshore Fire Technician III to join their safety conscious team! The Offshore Fire Technician III provides service inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair for fire equipment which typically includes but is not limited to portable and semi-portable fire extinguishers, lifesaving equipment, fire and gas detection systems, foam systems, dry chemical systems, navigational aids, gaseous suppression systems and water-based fire protection systems.

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, calibrations, troubleshooting and repairs of fixed fire detection systems, fixed gas detection systems, suppression systems, fire extinguishers, lifesaving equipment and Aids-To-Navigation systems.
- Ensure respective systems are in good working order as per manufacturer's specifications and in compliance with the most up to date regulatory standards.
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years offshore experience servicing mentioned systems
- Current or able to obtain Louisiana State Fire Marshal endorsement in Fire Alarm, Fixed Fire Suppression and Fire Extinguishers and Hoses
- Current TWIC card
- Valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record
- THUET (Tropical Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
- OPITO (Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization)
- Safe Gulf Certification
- Able to wear an SCBA
- Passport or able to obtain
Skills:
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft excel and word
- Electrical and/or electronics background
- Ability to operation multi-meter
- Interface with various fire systems through computer
- Ability to read SAFE chart, fire safety plan and schematics
- Research regulatory document for most recent requirements (API, NFPA, CFR, etc.)
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Trade school/vocational school preferred
- Manufacturer training preferred

- 50% paid out upon start date
- 50% paid out after 6 months of employment
