Job Description:
Total Wrecking is looking to hire a Site Safety Manager position is accountable for site contractor health and safety responsibilities and developing a strong safety culture at the project. The position requires a detail oriented professional capable identifying potential and unrecognized hazards during demolition and acting on risk and exposures throughout the work areas. Responsibilities also include ensuring the demolition site is compliant with local EHS laws and regulations as well as client safety guidelines and EHS policies and procedures. This role is an integral part of the project that requires strong communication between other project team members and will include communicating recommendations based on safety assessments to ensure compliance and continuity throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of safety management
- Minimum OSHA 10 Hour (OSHA 30 preferred)
- OSHA 510 (preferred)
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Available to travel
- Capable of communicating at all levels
- Able to complete JSAs, audits, and equipment inspections
- Self-reliant and good communication skills
- Must have high levels of organization, written and verbal communication, and documentation skills
- Strong knowledge of the demolition processes, exposure zones and controlled access areas, means & methods, and demolition equipment.
- Strong influencing skills, ability to work across the organization and with multiple functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
