Job Title: Medical Staff Coordinator
Location: Orange, CA
Wage: $23.00 - $26.00

In this vital role, you'll play a key role in supporting our Medical Staff and ensuring they have the resources and guidance they need to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of Medical Staff activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement policies and systems to optimize workflow and meet all compliance requirements.
- Prioritize departmental operations and manage resources effectively to support Medical Staff committees, leadership, and programs within budget allocations.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, and collaborate with the Medical Staff to implement changes that meet these standards.
- Provide expert advice and support to hospital staff and members regarding bylaws, rules, and accreditation standards.
- Partner with Medical Staff leaders to develop and implement procedural changes that enhance efficiency and support.
- Continuously improve departmental processes and initiate special projects to meet the needs of the department, Medical Staff, and St. Joseph Hospital/Health System.
- Foster strong communication channels with Medical Staff leaders, administration, management, and other departments.
- Assist the department director in selecting software to streamline operations, and provide orientation and training to new staff members.
- Provide effective leadership and oversight in the director's absence.
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- 3 years of experience in a Medical Staff Office setting.
- Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Medical Staff Coordinator (CPMSM), or eligibility for certification. (This is a requirement).
- Associate's Degree in Medical Staff Services Science (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical terminology.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry developments.
- A detail-oriented and results-driven approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
