What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher position at Tots Learning Center?
Tots Learning Center, a Christian based childcare center, is looking for a couple people with a passion for assisting with teaching children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teaching, interacting, engaging with, and supervising a group of children.
- Following all state and center rules.
- Following a daily schedule.
- Performing activities that ensure the safety, involvement, creativity, and well-being of each individual child.
- Greeting each child daily and have a positive and proactive attitude.
- Keeping track of student attendance each day in the attendance binder and on Brightwheel.
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing your classroom at the end of each shift.
- Be people and team oriented and reliable.
- Comfortable and capable of instructing children.
- Paying for and passing a background check. (You will be reimbursed.)
- Have or be willing to obtain training in CPR, First Aid, and Communicable Disease.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Willing to work between 30-38 hours per week.
- Be flexible transitioning between multiple classrooms and age groups.
- After a 90 day probation period, you will be eligible for emergency days, paid vacation days, and paid holidays.

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
