Assistant Director, Environmental Services

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Environmental Services to oversee and manage our environmental services department. As the Director, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our facility. Your expertise in custodial operations, commercial cleaning, and OSHA regulations will be essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective environmental services operations
- Manage a team of environmental services staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of all areas within the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, offices, and restrooms
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable health and safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate ordering as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to address environmental service needs and maintain open lines of communication
- Conduct regular inspections to assess the cleanliness and condition of the facility
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance environmental service operations

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within environmental services or related field
- Strong knowledge of custodial operations, commercial cleaning techniques, and infection control practices
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Proficient in floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, and buffing
- Familiarity with environmental service software systems is a plus

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
