POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of our growing team, many of the duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Ability to successfully perform tasks of a Tower Technician I
Responsible for training and mentoring of Tower Technicians I
Successful installation of all telecom equipment with minimal supervision
Provide troubleshooting and support for integration tasks
Demonstrates an understanding of project time allotment as it compares to project budget
Assist/substitute for a Tower Technician III when necessary
Collect close out package information
Additional functions:
Grounding
Installation of antennas
Antenna mounts, microwaves, coax lines, RF jumpers, remote electrical down-tilts
Site audits and maintenance tasks
Troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools, testing equipment, alignment tools
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard best practices
Basic computer skills
3 months cell site construction experience installing various carriers
Must be RF Awareness, CPR/FIRST AID, OSHA 10, Rigging, Comtrain (or equivalent) certified
Must be able to travel away from home for 3 - 6 weeks at a time
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Must have hand tools, including impact drill, full climbing gear, boots, and work clothes
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb and work on the towers, poles, buildings (no fear of heights)
Must be able to lift and carry at least 70 pounds
Must be able to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
Must be able to work in inclement weather (snow, rain, heat, high winds, etc.), long hours and variety of shifts (including night work)
Must be able to pass ongoing drug screen testing
Authority:
Substitute for Tower Technician III
Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and accidents
Train Tower Technicians I
