Responsibilities
The Electronic Data Interchange Analyst is responsible for all aspects of hospital and professional billing.
Responsible for communication and research regarding unbilled accounts, including Clearinghouse edits and rejections.
The Electronic Data Interchange Analyst emphasizes best practice concepts of ownership, accountability, quality of work, training, teamwork and customer service.
Responsible for all clearinghouse functions and maintenance of electronic and paper claim submissions and ERAís.
Assists EDI management team with the Billing Work In Progress and keeps the unreleased claim rate under established guidelines.
Responsible for submitting bridge routines to the Clearinghouse and must make sure that they are working correctly.
Responsible to troubleshoot the Claims Management System when problems arise.
Acts as the liaison between the EDI team, IT department and the Clearinghouse account representatives.
