Town Hall Grill is actively seeking a passionate and dynamic General Manager to join our team! We are a local gastropub-style restaurant with a casual, yet refined atmosphere offering a seasonal menu with the freshest ingredients and exceptional local craft beer, wines and hand-crafted spirits. We are a neighborhood gathering place that strives to create an exceptional dining experience offering a fun and exciting environment for guests to cheer on their favorite sports team or relax outdoors on our patio.
The GM is the most senior staff and is responsible for the success of all goals and activities and for achieving maximum guest satisfaction.
The GM must have a firm understanding of Profit and Loss statements, experience in Human Resources, and experience setting and achieving short- and long-term goals. GM's must be experienced and qualified individuals who have a passion for the hospitality industry, excellent communications skills and must be able to enhance the company culture each day. Experience and a skill level in both FOH and BOH operations are essential to succeed in this position. The GM will work closely with the owner to achieve business goals.

Essential Functions:
- Assist owners in developing short- and long-term objectives, policies, and rules.
- Maintain an ongoing review process for policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee rules and regulations, work schedules and internal controls, and a performance appraisal system.
- Maintain organized official documents.
- Sets the proper tone for employee-guest relations, and for the restaurant in general.
- Establish quality and cost standards.
- Responsible for the care and upkeep of furnishings, equipment and facilities.
- Ensure proper staffing by assembling an effective team and adjusting to business levels.
- Coordinate the work of staff.
- Assure the flow of information among staff through proper channels.
- Recommend and/or set all salaries.
- Ensure proper execution and monitoring of all contracts.
- Oversee the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Monitor adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee risk management programs to ensure that adequate safety measures are in effect to protect guests and employees.
- Maintain disaster and emergency plans and systems. Ensures that all personnel are trained and rehearsed in correct disaster and emergency procedures.
- Keep the owner informed on important operating matters and problems.
- Maintain an ongoing staff training of company policies, procedures and culture.

- Focus sales growth through guest satisfaction and delivery of THBB procedures.
- Manage all restaurant costs to deliver positive cash flow, eliminating unnecessary costs.
- Maintain strict compliance with food, health, safety, and security standards & procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to cash handling and banking policies and procedures.
- Validate effective completion of shift tools and administrative duties.
- Ensure accurate adherence to all state and federal laws on assigned shifts.
- Recommend associates for hiring and promotion.

Requirements:
- ServSafe Certified in all service and production stations.
- Cicerone certification.
- Understanding of procedures, state laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Positive, motivating communication skills, strong organization, and time management skills.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Able to work in excess of 50 hours per week while standing, walking and stretching.
- Able to lift, carry, push and pull 30 pounds.
- Able to listen, understand, and respond professionally to guests/employees inquiries and concerns.
