Express Maintenance Technician at Town Nissan
We are seeking an entry-level technician to join our team as an Express Maintenance Technician. The successful Express Maintenance Technician will be responsible for professionally servicing our guests' vehicles and ensuring quality work while delivering an excellent guest experience. Vehicle services include performing quick maintenance services including tire rotations, fluid checks, and oil changes on vehicles of all make and models.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing oil changes and tire rotations using manufacturer-approved procedures and equipment
- Conducting multi-point inspections on vehicles to identify any service needs or potential future issues
- Completing basic maintenance tasks such as replacing air filters, wiper blades, and batteries
- Performing basic repairs such as brake pad replacements, fluid flushes, and belt replacements
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and accurately, and that all vehicles are returned to customers clean and washed
- Keeping the service area clean and organized, and properly maintaining equipment and tools
- Communicating effectively with Service Advisors and other team members to ensure all work is properly documented and all customer concerns are addressed
- Following all safety protocols and procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment for all team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous on the job experience with routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, preferred
- Knowledge of basic automotive systems and components
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to excellence in workmanship
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.
- Clean driving record
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
Work Environment:
As part of the essential duties, this position requires operating motor vehicles. The employee’s essential duties are such that impairment caused by drugs or alcohol could result in significant injury or death.
