What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at TOWN OF BURNSVILLE?
This is manual work requiring skill maintaining city streets, parks, utility lines, and other property. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Knowledge of the common practices, methods, and materials used in maintenance
Knowledge of the tools and and equipment used in skilled labor work
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods
Ability to operate various types and sizes of equipment used in area of assigned work
GED or high school diploma
Regular and prompt attendance and the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Applicant must pass pre-employment drug screen. Must have a valid driver's license. Must pass a background check and be bondable for city employment.
Full-time positions are eligible for PERS and employer-paid medical insurance upon successful completion of probationary hire period.
Part-time positions are hourly rate of pay only.
Pay depends on experience. At least six months experience is preferred. Minimum age is 18.
Regular work days are Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
