Introduction:
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Executive Assistant to join our team. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Highway Department, including processing payroll, AP billing, and handling a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Department. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for the Highway Department
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
Greet and assist visitors
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
File and maintain electronic and hard copy documents
Process billing and AP
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role is preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Proficiency with computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office and email
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
