What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Technician position at Town of Davie?
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex technical work in the Town's payroll program for the Budget & Finance Department. Is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll; preparing and filing forms for proper payment of payroll taxes and other payroll-related expenditures; record processing and maintenance of employees' files. Reports to the Payroll Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:Associates Degree or Technical/Vocational Certificate in accounting.
Two (2) years minimum experience in accounting.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required combination of skills, knowledge and abilities.
PREFERRED:Two (2) years minimum experience in accounting, preferably some experience dealing with payroll.
